DermaLayr Marine+ is our premium T-Coll marine collagen based bioactive delivery platform that rapidly delivers the highest dose, over 90%, of pure and concentrated T-Coll collagen deep into the dermal layer of the skin
Additionally, various bio sourced, pure actives can be added to the T-Coll base to meet your customer’s needs, delivering additional benefits for the skin. Made by our proprietary Sonic Electrospinning Technology process, the
collagen is spun into nanofibres that are 500 times thinner than human hair. During the process, the desired actives are embedded within the nanofibre
collagen web that is highly soluble, which means both the
collagen and active can together penetrate deep into the skin using water as the carrier.
T-Coll
marine collagen is scientifically designed to provide superior support for the elasticity and appearance of the skin. and appearance of the skin. T-Coll is our own 100% , type 1
marine collagen sourced from New Zealand oceans. Our proprietary novel batch production uses a gentle bioprocess method that enables us to treat our marine collagen with the utmost care, allowing us to preserve this sustainability us to preserve this sustainability sourced
marine collagen in its purest, native form.
Pure
Our
marine collagen is sourced from the cleanest place in the world, New Zealand. And at 100% purity , there are no additives, carriers or unnecessary ingredients.
Powerful
Natural
T-Coll retains the long chains from
collagens natural state, triple helix form, meaning that it is closer in make up to the body s naturally produced collagen, thus making it more effective. This is shown by measuring the effects of the presence of T-Coll versus hydrolysed collagen on the abundance of human skin fibroblasts. It was shown that T-Coll increased fibroblasts, which naturally increase elastin production, up to 280% more than other collagen sources.
DermaLayr technology has been proven to rapidly deliver actives deep into the dermal layer of the skin. When testing against serums,
DermaLayr delivers actives up to 10 times deeper into the skin layers. Against gels, DermaLayr is 150% more effective in delivering actives to the skin.
Looking at how fast this happens, with application of
DermaLayr patches, you can visibly see the absorption into the skin, due to the high solubility of the nanofibre. After 15 minutes , delivery starts within the epidermis layer, breaking the stratum corneum skin barrier and providing sustainable release over the first 4 hours. From 4 to 8 hours , penetration into the dermal layer is shown to rapidly increase up to a concentration of 2.6ug/ml , delivering the actives to where they really work.
We have additional testing underway to further prove the delivery to further prove the delivery of bioactives. If actives are carried deep into the skin with DermaLayr technology, then it is a safe assumption that the T-Coll base is the mechanism by which the actives are carried. We have additional testing underway to prove this theory, which will be to prove this theory.
Permeation Skin Absorption study
Aim: To prove that the bioactive penetrates within reconstituted human skin at different kinetic points (1 min, 10 min, 1 hour, 6 hours, 24 hours) . Regulatory guides: OECD guidance notes on dermal absorption Test No. 428 (in vitro).
Cytotoxicity Skin Irritation study
Aim: To prove that the bioactive does not affect the cell viability (cytotoxicity) within reconstituted human skin. Regulatory guides: OECD guidance notes on skin irritation Test No. 439 (in vitro).
Test Provider
MSCR are based in India and have many years’ experience in ‘In Vitro’ technologies to address skin permeation and toxicity, using different sources of skin to evaluate the fate of bioactives. The tests will use reconstituted human epidermis, EpiDerm, sourced from MatTek in the USA.
